A Study on The Patients Visited to Emergency Room of Puchon Sejong General Hospital

Abstract
|
|
|
A study was done on 16208 patients who visited to Emergency room of Sejong General Hospital during one year period from Jan. 1, 1994 to Dec. 31, 1994.
The results were as follows:
1. Male to female ratio was 1.03:1.
2. the peak age group was 0~9 years.
3. The highest no. of pts. Came in the evening of the day, on Suday of the week. in May of the month and Summer of the season.
4. According to dept. ER. Pts were distributed as follows: Intenal Medicine 6196(38%). Surgery 5141(32%). Pediatrics 3302(20%). Ob/Gyn 1088(6.7%), E.M. 436(3%) and DOA 45(0.3%).
5. Among 16,208 pts, who were treated at ER, 4238 pts (26%) were admitted.
6. DDA pts were 19(0.1%).
